LIM SWITCHES ON JONES BRIDGE LIGHTS

LIM THROWS PORNO MOVIES/MAGAZINES

Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim leads officials in throwing pornographic movies and magazines on the floor to be crushed by the bulldozer while the printed materials were burned within the quadrangle of City Hall. Lim sponsored the whole-day forum of the Philippine Alliance Against Pornography (PAAP) headed by Dr. Cindy Dollente Ang (right of Mayor Lim) and Tita Pilapil Reverente, PAAP Vice President.

   
PRESIDENT JOSE P. LAUREL MONUMENT

Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim (left), Rose L. Avancena, and retired Justice Isagani A. Cruz unveil the monument of the late President Jose P. Laurel Foundation in cooperation with the National Historical Institute. President Laurel served the Philippines at the height of the Japanese occupation during World War II.

   
LIM MEETS WOLFENSOHN

Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim recently met with former World Bank President James Wolfensohn during the latter’s courtesy call at the Manila City Hall. Lim also sought advice from Wolfhensohn on how the city government can effective manage its finances. The former WB head owns a US based investment advisory company.

   
LITTLE VIETNAM NO MORE

Mayor Alfredo Lim ordered the total demolition of the so called "Little Vietnam" village along Estero de Quiapo and Arlegui, which earned notoriety as drug dens and dumpsite of murder victims.

Mayor Alfredo Lim distributes the 100 wheelchair donated by Mayor Gavin Neuson of San Francisco, USA for the disabled children and residents of Manila during the 29th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week Celebration.
